Victory is sweet, particularly after a conscientious campaign. After months of knocking on doors and reaching out to voters in every neighborhood of the 2nd District, Pete Harckham celebrated his election to County Legislator on Tuesday surrounded by family, friends, and campaign workers. Pausing to recognize those “who are closest to me,” Pete thanked his family for their support and encouragement and then said that one of the best things about the campaign was “being surrounded by so many wonderful people who came out to help.”
Pete Harckham is the unanimous choice for County Legislator of all four newspapers in northern Westchester. This week both The Lewisboro Ledger and The Examiner of Mount Kisco endorsed Pete, adding their support to that already voiced by The Journal News and The Bedford-Pound Ridge Record Review.
The Journal News today endorsed Pete Harckham in his bid for Westchester County Legislator in the 2nd L.D. “We recommend Harckham, because he professes as much disdain for high taxes…but also has the wisdom to differentiate between waste and necessity.
